| There
are questions surrounding every aspect of the FBI siege
of the Branch Davidians compound at Waco, Texas. What
were the Branch Davidians up to in the first place?
What caused the gunfight between them and the Bureau
of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms? Why did the cult members
refuse to leave the compound following this? And the
biggest question of all, what actually happened on April
19th 1993? |

Koresh and his followers have been the focus of many investigations,
both amateur and legal. The official line on the events at Mount
Carmel is not always believed and many other theories have sprung
up, both supporting and criticising the Branch Davidian sect.
As always, we try to provide a balance of these viewpoints and
at no point should our selection of links be assumed to reflect
our own opinion of these events. |

Allegations
abound against all the parties concerned in this series of
incidents. It is fairly safe to say, however, that innocent
lives were lost in the course of these events and it will
never be regarded as the FBI’s finest hour.
